报告摘要：

Both the Simonovits stability theorem and the Nikiforov spectral stability theorem are powerful tools for solving exact values of Tur´an numbers in extremal graph theory. Recently, F¨uredi [J. Combin. Theory Ser. B 115 (2015)] provided a concise and contemporary proof of the Simonovits stability theorem. We present a unified treatment for some extremal graph problems, including short proofs of Nikiforov’s spectral stability theorem and the clique stability theorem proved recently by Ma and Qiu [European J. Combin. 84 (2020)]. This is a joint work with Yongtao Li.

报告人简介：

彭岳建教授2001年于美国埃默里大学（Emory University）获得理学博士学位。2002-2012年在美国印第安纳州立大学（Indiana State University）历任助理教授、副教授、教授（终身）。2012年作为“湖南省百人计划”特聘教授回到湖南大学。目前，彭岳建教授已经在极值组合与图论及相关领域做出了许多出色的工作，特别是超图的Turan密度、Lagrangian密度、超图Ramsey数等。在国际组合图论权威刊物JCTB、JCTA、CPC、JGT等发表论文40多篇。一直得到国家自然科学基金的资助，目前主持国家自然基金重点项目一项。
